What is it?

Stress can be any physiological disturbances such as pollutants, toxins, physical trauma, or strong emotional reactions that can trigger the stress response.

Causes

Adrenaline is secreted by the adrenal glands in response to stress which causes an increase in the rate and force of contraction of the heart, breathing increases, sweat is produced, digestive secretions are reduced and blood sugar levels are increased. A prolonged stress response can make you feel anxious and nervous.
