Appointment Fees
Appointment fees are based on length and complexity of appointments and are at the discretion of the treating practitioner. For Medicare card holders a rebate is available that covers part of the cost. Procedures such as removal of sunspots, ECG’s, breathing tests, allergy tests etc will carry additional charges which are also partly refunded by Medicare. Details of our consultation rates are available from reception.
Bulk Billing Doctors
We run a private practice. We do however offer bulk billing to full time students with specified doctors only. Understandably there is greater flexibility in appointment scheduling with Uclinic private doctors.
Medicare Rebate
Patients with a Medicare card are charged a fee and are eligible for a Medicare rebate which the practice can process for you on your behalf. Rebate cheques are electronically deposited to your bank accounts by Medicare.

Private Pathology

Repeat prescriptions
Repeat scripts may be issued to patients either during a consultation or following a phone request, depending on what is appropriate.
Cancellation Fee
Appointments cancelled within 24 hours of the time of the appointmnet will incur a cancellation fee. This fee is at the discretion of your Uclinic practitioner.
Payment Method
Major credit cards and EFTPOS are accepted (excluding JCB/ Diners Club)
Also, if you see one of our allied health practitioners registered with your private health fund, we are able process your private health fund claims on the spot using the HICAPS system, leaving you to pay only the gap.
